Having computer issues? Are any of your electronics broken or not working?
Currently, only 7% of the electronic equipment which is collected at household waste recycling centers is reused. But with a small amount of repair and refurbishment, this could increase to 23%!
By repairing and reusing your IT items and electronics you can help prevent unnecessary landfill waste and the loss of valuable resources. Repairing, rather than buying new should also save you cash!
We are offering repair sessions in Semester 2 which are open to all staff and students, which will be held on the Bridge Link. The 30 min appointments will be available from 10am – 3.30pm on the following dates:
Tuesday 23rd January
Tuesday 30th January
Tuesday 6th February
Remade can help with any kind of broken electronics including laptops, desktops, tablets, smartphones, printers, monitors, e-readers, Macs, Iphones, Ipads, Ipods, and game consoles.
They cannot help you with electrical goods like irons, food processors, radios, hair straighteners etc. They also do not teach people how to use software (for example programmes like WordPress, Photoshop, AutoCAD, etc).
The session is free, but if repairs are needed there may be a charge for replacement parts.
Book a slot in advance through our Doodle poll. Alternatively email email@example.com or get in touch via Facebook or Twitter! Please let us know when you would like to book, what item you need help with (e.g. laptop, iPod, tablet) and some info about the problem.
Feel free to drop by the Bridge Link during the day to find out more.
